Due to our continued growth across the UK, Portman Dental Care are looking for a new Area Operations Manager to oversee our growing practice base in Scotland. Reporting to our Head of Operations for Northern Ireland & Scotland, your role will be to drive performance across our Scotland Practices as we grow, working closely with your teams and our Dental Associates to identify opportunities to grow and innovate.

Mulitisite field leadership experience is essential. Preferably from a dental or healthcare related sector.

We currently have 7 fantastic practices in Scotland stretching from Glasgow and Edinburgh to Aviemore, Crieff and Perth, with further acquisitions in the pipeline. Our practices enjoy strong reputations in their areas and deliver high end private dentistry and quality NHS services led by trusted and well known clinicians.

It’s an exciting time at Portman. With over 100 dental practices across the UK and plans to grow at the rate of 40 new Practices a year we are growing fast and already we are the largest privately focused dental group in the country. Our core vision is to be the best private focused dental group in the world and we have been recognised for our efforts recently, winning the Outstanding Business of the Year at the Dental Industry Awards for the last 2 years.

You could be an experienced Operations Manager or an experienced multisite Practice Manager ready for the next step up but the key is that you will be able to demonstrate strong leadership and relationship building skills.

  • Problem solving and understanding complexity
  • Relationship management, influencing in the right way
  • Decision making, along with an awareness of when to escalate decisions
