Description

Full Time Dental Secretary, dedicated to our in-house Periodontist, required at our prestigious private practice, 90 Harley Street, in Central London.

This is a practice where we do the most complex dental work in-house so providing you with a great opportunity to broaden your skills and work within an excellent working environment. 

Occupying a historic listed building (formerly the home of Florence Nightingale) on one of the most prestigious streets in central London, this practice has been providing expert private dentistry since 1924. We have some of the most trusted specialists in the profession pioneering new treatments and dealing with referrals from across the world.

We are looking for an experienced dental secretary, this is a full-time position, Mon – Fri 08:30 – 18:00.   You will be personable with strong written and verbal communication skills. A great telephone manner and the ability to interact with patients in a friendly and professional manner is key. You will be computer literate, organised and self-motivated with the ability to multi-task and work efficiently at a fast pace. You will need to have strong attention to detail and have experience of working within a team but also have the ability to take responsibility of your own work and work towards targets and objectives.  

Previous dental nursing and use of SOE is desirable but not essential. Previous experience in dental/medical administration required.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to;  

  • Handle all enquiries via phone, email and face to face in a professional manner
  • Schedule appointments for new and existing patients
  • Liaise with other colleagues to ensure a smooth patient journey
  • Have the confidence to deal with in-house and external referrals, as we are a multidiscipline periodontal referral centre
  • Prepare and follow up treatment reports and treatment plans (part of larger multidisciplinary plans)
  • Achieve consistently high levels of treatment acceptance
  • Contribute to achieve high conversion rates
  • Deal with referral letters and onward referrals
  • Management of a specialist book and their supporting team (i.e. Hygienists)
  • Liaise with patients on all matters relating to the organisation of appointments (referrals, correspondence and follow ups)
  • You will be required to coordinate with other specialists and medical practitioners
  • Document management
  • Using the clinical booking system with accuracy and attention to detail
